Saksham "A Retail Training and Beauty Culture Programme"

The Ganga Social Foundation has successfully executed the social development programmes in collaboration and support under CSR partnerships. Among which, the project Saksham "A Retail training and Beauty culture Programme" was executed for two months (Feburary-March2026) under PARIVARTAN, small grant programme of HDFC Bank Limited in collaboration of GANGA SOCIAL FOUNDATION, partner organization in North district of Delhi. with prime objective of "Transforming Unskilled and Unemployed Young People of Socially and Economically Backward (male and female) of 15-35 years of age) of North East District of Delhi. The project aimed to cover 200 youth without having gender biasness.

The core intervention of the project was Skill building programme with the view of ensuring the employment generation for the youth community.

The progrmmme was executed with joint efforts of representative of local govt. institutions like ASHA workers and Aaganwadi workers, local NGOs and training institutions.

The programme was contributory to have changes in attitude and behaviour of both the students and family in selection of courses and joining the training centre. In addition, the project experienced the confidence building, skill building with special focus on girls, and developing cadre of future generation of professionals.

At the larger level, the programme indicated the long-term impact on Gender and livelihood concerns of the youth community and their families.
