TARGETED INTERVENTION PROJECT ON HIV/AIDS in Delhi, Punjab & Haryana.

Since it's identification in 1983, HIV/AIDS is the great concern for the governments, policy makers and health professionals around the world, who altogether working for the prevention of spreading of HIV/AIDS and save many lives. According to World Health Organization (WHO) more than 70 million people have been infected with HIV virus and about 37 million people have died of HIV. Globally, approx. 37 million people were living with HIV by the end of 2016 in which the population of young adults (15-49) is 0.8% worldwide, although the burden of epidemic continues to vary considerably between countries and regions. Most of the nations have made health policies in their countries to win the battle against HIV/AIDs and save their citizens. In India, NACO (National Aids Control Organization) is confronting the situation with its support organizations State Aids Control Societies (SACS) in all states and also the NGOs which are working at ground level to support SACS and NACO for the betterment of the situation.

Outreach and Drop In Centre (ODIC) for Drug Abuse Prevention under NISD

The National Institute of Social Defence start a program under NATIONAL ACTION PLAN FOR DRUG DEMAND REDUCTION (NAPDDR for 2018-2025), therein organisations work for "undertaking focused/targeted Intervention Programmes" in remaining 66 identified districts across the country with an aim to reach adolescents and youth in the Community for creating awareness about the harmful effects of Drug Abuse and encourage the drug dependent persons to seek treatment.

WINGS Intervention under India HIV/AIDS Alliance

'WINGS' is an innovative approach design to address the IPV related issues among WWUD. 'WINGS' is an evidence-based, single-session Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment Service (SBIRT) related process. Basic focus of the WINGS lies in harm reduction through empowering women to identify and assess their situation in context of IPV and related risks among WWUD. First and crucial approach of WINGS is creating a non-judgmental framework of communication with WWUD in respect of their intimate relationships and use of substance.

GSF with support of Municipal Corporation of Faridabad is working on solid waste management programme

We undertake door to door solid waste collection, segregation of garbage to the collection centre, convert biodegradable waste into compost and send non - biodegradable waste for recycling.

We generate awareness about environment in primary schools. Our representatives worked on motivating primary teachers to take up the subject conservation of environment with young children

Ganga Social Foundation worked on Wash with school kids in Bhiwadi and Alwar. 4 Schools were covered through the intervention to aware children about water sanitation and hygiene and its importance in their lives.

150 Birth Anniversary of Sri Rabindranath Tagore

On the occasion of 150 birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore cultural programme and seminar was held on 16th November 2011 at Tagore Hall University of Delhi. The programme will started with the welcome of chef guest and Inaugural function made by Dr. Amrit kaur professor Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, it was attended by about 150 people from colleges, NGOs representatives, SHG group, and Research students from North Campus University of Delhi, Teacher and community members.
